Realme claimed that its latest Realme Neo 8 model has surpassed its predecessor’s performance during its first week of sales.
The new Realme model is now official in China as the brand’s latest gaming-focused device. Despite its impressive specifications, it is a pretty affordable device, starting at CN¥2599/$370 for its 12GB/256GB base configuration. With this, it is unsurprising that the new model outperformed the Realme Neo 7, which had a base price of CN¥2,199for the same configuration. To recall, it debuted with a MediaTek Dimensity 9300+, a 50MP IMX882 main camera with OIS, a 7000mAh Titan battery, and an IP69 rating.
According to the company, its sales rocketed in its first week, reaching 200% more than what its predecessor collected during the same period.
To recall, the Realme Neo 8 features a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip, which is paired with UFS 4.1 storage and LPDDR5X RAM. It also houses a huge 8000mAh battery with 80W wired and bypass charging support. Its camera system is led by a 50MP Sony IMX896 main sensor with OIS, which works with an 8MP ultrawide and a 50MP JN5 periscope telephoto with 3.5x optical zoom. Other highlights of the phone include a 165Hz AMOLED and an IP69 rating.
