The Huawei Pura X 2 is reportedly set to arrive with a new chip in the first quarter of 2026.
The Chinese giant is already working on the Huawei Pura X successor. Thanks to its unconventional display size, the phone generated buzz during its debut and even sold over 700,000 units in China. Soon, the original Pura X will be replaced by the Pura X 2.
According to tipster Smart Pikachu, the flip phone would be unveiled in the first quarter of next year. The account also revealed that the device would house a Kirin 9030 chip, which is an upgrade over the current Kirin 9020 SoC in the Pura X.
As per earlier reports, the Pura X 2 will keep its successor’s 6.3″ 16:10 widescreen, but will be “downgraded” in most of its sections. On a positive note, the phone is reportedly going to be cheaper than its predecessor. To recall, the first Pura has a 6.3″ main display and a 3.5″ external screen. When unfolded, it is used as a regular vertical flip phone, but its orientation changes when it is closed. In general, the Huawei Pura X measures 143.2mm x 91.7mm when unfolded and 91.7mm x 74.3mm when folded.
